A Fishy Affair

Finally caught up with Fluffy Pearl today

I arrived too early at 211 Bukit Timah to pick her up .It was too warm to be sitting in the open air carpark , so i went for a stroll at the Courts superstore next to her workplace- hoping to soak up some free airconditioning.

Long story short, by the time Fluffy came and got me at the store was too late . I had plonked $1599* on a spanking cool SHARP 42inch Full HD1080 LCD TEEVEE! *inclusive GST, Delivery, installation etc ! what a good deal right?!

Ofcourse now that im $1599 poorer, I can look forward to more time spent at home vegetating in front of my new tv! no more money to spend!

New toy gets delivered this saturday ...but with a new tv..Its time! time to get CABLE! muahhahahAHAHAHAHhah! *insane look* - stay tuned true believers!

A fishie Affair

Now , back to when fluffy finally arrived to pick this newly broke guppy out of courts superstore...( she was too late to stop the tv splurge hee hee but she did agree it was a good deal ) off we went to our pre-planned dinner destination - ****GREENWOOD FISH BISTRO!*****

We chose to dine at the older, cosier wing of the establishment - directly behind the fish market area. Spent a few moments gawking at the fresh aray of oysters, mussels, and big fishies on sale at the fish market Once we got seated , ofcourse we spared no time to start cam whoring! :D The old wing of the restaurant had a warm cosy ambience warm red walls, decorated with many framed posters of various delectable fishies *drool One hungry fluffy studying the menu.One very very hungry guppy posing wit the menu.We were deighted to find that they had yum champs here ...ofcourse we had to pose with the nice bottles of booziesBut we ended up ordering Heineken to go with our seafood instead :P Boy did we eat ...we had fresh Oysters Soft shell crabs BLACK COD FISH AND CHIPS *best!* Foie Gras with scallop on Brioche Fried Calamari !

TIME TO EAT!!!! YEAH! What better way to round off a delightful din din of deepfried seafood washed down with beer...than with.....

Valhorna Warm Chocolate Fondant ?! The delicious sweet warm chocolate oozes out from the cake.. pure bliss !!! Yeap! It sure was an eventful evening of FUN fishy dining :D we couldnt help ourselves...yep you guessed it -- we took more pics outside the restaurant !

Hah camwhoring is fun! ok babes...we gotta do this again soon :)

Vietnamese, Durians, Ferrero and Badminton Tuesday

Oh my i ate so much today.

Vietnamese Yum Yums...Again!?!

I have a confession to make - I ATE VIETNAMESE PHO ...AGAIN today! mmmmmm delicious yummy Pho... but this time, it was over lunch with Celest @ Hue at the Amara Hotel.

We had crispy prawn and chicken spring rolls

And we washed everything down with this super yum concoction from the hotel which they claimed was some authentic citrus+tea+lime combo "cooling" drink.

Hmmmm wonder if my vietnamese cravings will ever end?

20 year late.. Badminton training Session

It all began with a teensy lil challenge. Kulcha invited me to a badminton game this sunday at Delta stadium. Naturally , true to my egotistical form , I had to throw out the challenge - that I was a primary school badminton champion :P * muhahahha* and that i could beat him with my 7 dollar supar market bought racquet . ( only to learn that Kulcha trains at the Delta on a weekly basis *gulp* )

And so a wager was made : loser will massage the hairy legs and smell feet of the winner! will guppy emerge triumphant ? stay tuned true believers!~ Meanwhile it occured to me it has been over 20 years since i picked up the badminton racquet. Oh boy....

And so, to train for this badminton match, I made tracie and moomoo practice with me at moomoo's home after work today . Heh I think i trashed them...and managed to hit every serve..except for those that landed far away from where i stood.. (OFCOURSE i do not run after the shuttlecock. duh. i stand where i am if the shuttecock comes towards me . i hit it. thats all there is to it )

Ferrero Garden chocolates.

On a happier note, Tracie brought along these delightful looking Ferrero Chocolates . They are not available at supermarkets yet .only at The Cocoa Tree specialty chocolate shops. Check out the beautiful packaging ! AND YES THEY WERE Delicious. a mixture of Almond, Pistachio , Hazelnut and Coconut flavours.

My favourite : The Almond flavoured one. At 18 bucks per box. Its a little pricey but i think i will go get some more !

Mountain Cat Durian Adventures

After a hard lousy stamina guppy game of badminton, a heavy claypot chicken dinner cooked by moomoo and those delightful ferrero garden chocolates. Ofcourse we had to go off in search for some nice desserts to round off our day.

Moo's mom had durian craving ..hah really this was all her fault for putting the idea in our heads. And so off we all went to Four Seasons Durian in search for the famed CAT MOUNTAIN DURIANS! from Mapoh!

We bought one 2.8 kilo Cat Mountain durian and 6 pcs of the $20 per 3 pc durian . broke it all open, and ate both to compare.

The verdict - No difference lah! but still awfully delicious! Guppies Love Durians! feed more durians!

Can't get enough of Vietnamese Love

I did Vietnamese Again.

Went for vietnamese food at Pho Hoa @ Suntec City AGAIN! Oh my goodness me. I think i need help. But check out my colourful delicious healthy nutricious lunch?

Pimped My Lion Keychain

I got a new keychain in the shape of a stuffed little lion over the weekend Yes I get it, Lion = Leo = Guppy. But there was just still that little something missing ..hmmmm

.Take one Lion Key chain from Nicci..cut off the nicci tag , break out the sewing kit ... add some charms (meant for adding to charm bracelets which chookie helped choose for me at Mu-ee): the key essentials for any cute little guppy , Shades, princess crown, mobile phone, handbag ...sew everything together ..

Voila! Now thats better! Now you look like Guppy! ( we just hide our crowns at home when we are outdoors thats all so we dont have to wear em all the time) Definitely one good looking lion to hang off the keys to my good lookin ride !

Happy Father's Day !

Too bad daddy was nursing a toothache :P

We all went out to Aston's steakhouse at Sembwang Shopping Centre , The grand plan was to give dad a nice yummy steak treat! (his favourite) ..Alas he couldnt eat steak as he had an inflamed gum /toothache and none of us knew about it ! aaargh!

In the end poor dad only had salmon steak and veggies and rice...Chookie ordered the striploin steak medium rare.. and ate it right in front of dad. Yup, dad being dad, declared chookie to be incapable to finishing her steak, so he had to have a bite. ...which he did. MuHAHAHAH

This was chookie's striploin steak. with potato salad and baked beans, she was pissed with the staff coz she ordered pasta salad, not potato salad. yeah just one of those wierdos who dont like creamy foods

After our delicious lunch, I pestered dad to teach me how to drive his car. yes I can drive a stick shift but for the life of me I DONT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CAR! duh

Im glad to report . It was like driving a toy bumper car. easy peasy. Oh my gawd they let people who have auto transmission licenses drive cars. I feel fear.

Vietnamese Love Affair

I think Im in Love

It was another annoyingly warm and humid weekend. I had an insane craving for soupish foods. He suggested vietnamese ... and i thought hmmm I havent had that for awhile. So off we went to Pho Hoa for some nice Pho ( Rice Noodles Soup)

A HUGE Bowl of Beef Flank Pho for you! Accompanied by Fresh lime, mint leaves, basil and sprouts~! The best way to enjoy beef Pho...is to Slurrrrpp it alll in !!! And wash everything down with fresh avocado smoothie...Super Duper Shiok!

I think Im in love. Vietnamese Pho is refreshingly delicious and so very flavourful. Gotta do it again!

I spotted this abomination at the Yishun Northpoint Shopping mall this evening. Its so hilariously hello kitty...

complete with kitty accessories, the seat covers, dashboard, steering wheel , even the rims of the wheels are studded with pink diamante crystals ...Oh my gawd..
