Yummy Porkchops in Melbourne?

I bought a ticket to Melbourne in search of Porkchop, its day 4 - 2am melbourne time and im still here ....and yes I found porkchop holed up in a 2 bedroom apartment in the uber posh CBD neighbourhood south of the river. a stone;s throw away from the heart of melbourne city shopping district!

:D hee some piggies really know how to live it up ahahha!

Day One :
touched down at melbourne airport in the wee hours of the morning and took a cab straight for porkchop's apartment . the air was chilly ..winter was ending and spring was beginning but its still damn cold.

commercial district , a stroll away from porkchop's place/ the sun is shiny , the air is chilly and light. people here either walk or ride or take the train.
we took the tram everywhere ,porkchop bought me a tram ticket that was valid for a week for $28 bucks. yaps .. not driving in melbourne.running around town with porkchop reminded me of the time we were uni students in Perth
streets are quiet coz its still too early on a weekday morning
not wanting to waste time we headed straight for Victoria Markets to stock up on fresh seafood, breads and yum yums fresh poultry , meats and seafood galore

fresh flowers for sale
porkchop bought me Scillas! awww just like the old days when i would get a small bunch each weekend :P
porkchop shopping for warm jacket for little guppies! feel loved!

Lunch was chicken kebab and fish and chips :D but i had sore ulcers all over my lips and tongue from dehydration and heatiness (lack of sleep too from the flight into town) that i ditched the fries
My personal shopping carrier! *shopping with porkchop is fun as he carries everything home for me
porkchop posing at the entrance of his apartment block, with the loads of insane shopping bags... I went insane shopping
I bought 5 sets of bras and panties , hey man they have it in cute guppy sizes and good quality stuff too..underwire, cotton, lace, spandex , quality materials and workmanship/ at AUD 32 per set it was a damn good deal!
In the evening, we took a stroll along the Yarra river ...enjoying the scenary
it was very romantic. and quite melancholic at the same time as we walked about aimlessly taking in the sights i played around with my camera
back at home in the evening, Porkchop broke out the oysters! BUT on first bite, the first oyster was SUPER SALTY! @#$$#!! We gave em all a few more rinses before they were edible!
Day Two : Day of our daytour to see cute koalas and penguins!!
Porkchop woke up early and made brekkie! awwwwww
herb sausages , scrambled eggs and fresh giant strawberries! YUM!!!!... plus oven baked hot baguettes bread rolls! cold butter melted over hot buns...blisssss
after brekkie..we took a stroll to the nearby langham hotel to wait for our tourbus. opposite the langham hotel was the Eureka Tower! it was damn cool..with HUGE GOLDEN BEE SCULPTURES dotting the corners of this gorgeous building!
I dunno it was just...well unexpected and truth be told, quite inspiring :) cutesy bees!
we got impatient with waiting for the bus, and thought we missed it, so we took a cab into town to find the tour agent..eventually it worked out that we were a little too impatient, the bus did get to langham hotel to pick people up, but it was late. nevertheless the bus will make one more stop at the tour agency in the shopping district. so we boareded the tour bus from there instead
Here we go here we go here we go....porkchop very happie and excited to be going on the trip too the bus made its way through the city centre - which incidentally was bustling with activity because there was a huge footy match at the stadium this very day

we passed through streets of shopping .. and soon we were clearing acres and acres of green farmland
complete with cute grazing cows which we can see on both sides ofthe freeway
Yes we were heading for Philip Island around 2 hour bus trip out of melbourne citywe stopped over at Warrook valley along the way to Phillip Island- some farm place with cute wombats, kangaroos ducks and lota lambs Roos just love guppies
adorable geese totttering about
ducks too...free ranging all over the property
and then i spotted them! Cute adorable spring lambs...suckling on the Ewe! how adorableit wouldve been the end, everybody was waiting around the tourbus to continue along the journey then porkchop and I ventured behind the bus to look around and we were pleasantly surprised to find two fat rabbits nibbling on grass under a huge wheel barrow cutesy bunnies! yup nobody else saw these beauties except me and porkchop
we eventually ended up at the Koala Sanctuary to see.....*drumroll* Koalas la!
yep we aint allowed to touch, shout at , shake the trees or smoke in front of the Koalas
Guppies love GIANT KOALAS! MY UBER COOL koala loafing on the tree shot!
fresh wild flowers were everywhere on this trip
my favourite shot - cute Koala Bum! -
NEXT STOP - PHILLIP ISLAND PENGUIN PARADE!
apparently there are over 60,000 wild penguins that live on Philip island, by daythey go out into the ocean to fish, by night they return in groups and make the long waddle journey back to their burrows .
one of the top most awe inspiring sights. No photography allowed - apprently penguins get so stunnedby the flashlight of the camera, they get into a FIT and die. :P but my happie gupsters! this was truly an awe inspiring sight! we arrived late in the evening past 6pm...just before sun set.
porkchop and I braved the cold coastal wind ( in winter )sat at the beach and waited for nightfall...as the sun set...it began!
tiny little penguins started to surface from the close to 1 m tall squals...braving the waves to waddle up to shore...huddling in a group ...before making a group waddle dash across the white sandy beach and into the bushes where they continue on their journey inland..to their burrows dotted throughout the island
picture this we are only at one beach ... this natural phenomena occurs around the ENTIRE islands coast line. over 60,000 penguins do this journey day in and day out , the locals close off the roads and sundown so penguins can travel safely and u must check under your vehicle before u move off! COOLNESS!
Porkchop at the lookout area, a coastal overview , it was windy , it was ICY cold
we were waiting for sunset
after watching the penguins, it was time to go home along the way the tour group stopped off at an italian restaurant.
we ordered oysters kilpatrick
porkchop had fetuccini and white wine
while i had my usual bolognese... We were damn hungry but onething was for sure. Italian cooking is GOOD in this restaurant
Day Three : Shopping shopping and more shopping

Porkchop took me to his -- of all places-- favourite vietnamese restaurant !
i had grilled chicken vermicilli
porkchop had beef noodle soup
and ofcourse! how can i miss out on my favourite avocado smoothie?!
after we have adequately fed ourselves, we trawled the city streets...
passing the state library
more shopping...
stopping for some delicious hot chocolate at SAN CHURRO!
we love chocolate anything
the aimless shopabout led us to a unique indoor rockclimbing school...very cool!

we passed by macdonalds and the poster for their latest creation - AVOCADO QUARTER POUNDER caught my eye ..curious we went in and bought ourselves one to try!
limited edition ?
greenish avocado mush....well we were expecting yummy sliced fresh avocadoes...
oh well ..at least it tasted ok... nah i say if u have to try avocado anything...get the sandwiches ..like ANY sandwich in any deli ..much much better there was so much shopping... i eventually bought this ugly striped plastic Bag to place all my shopping in as we walked home ( yes walking distance didnt really need the tram by the time we combed the entire shopping area in thecity ) thank goodness porkchop carried everything for me :P
bought earrings
a cool white mandarina duck sling bag , some souveniors for family and friends.. there was just so much shopping
in the evening we headed back to the riverside area to find some delicious yum yums .
GELATO at night in cold chilly air...is damn cool. the gelato does not melt :D hah!
Along the river at southbank , we went to this uber posh italian restaurant ( hey i like italian food ok) and ordered the GAMBERO pizza - a delicious fragrant pizza with large prawn , caviar , basil, toppings
