Independant Woman VS Little Woman

The deed is done!

I was so busy the past few weeks not just with work but also with a new project , and now that the deed is done, I am pleased to announce - Yup I went to buy me a spanking cool performance sports vehicle - A 2 litre HONDA INTEGRA! woohoo!

Ok it was a 2nd hand car, not a brand new set of wheels but Im still absolutely ecstatic over the purchase! I plonked down 10k in cash and took out a small 5 year loan for the rest , with the loan papers and insurance papers signed off this morning, now we just have to wait for the transfer papers to get through and I will be able to bring my new set of wheels home!

Why now you might ask...well for those who know me, you will know that I really like being the passenger and not the driver. Its just a nice feeling being driven around by your date, friend, family , lover -- the feeling of being taken care of, being pampered... HAHAHAHAHAH yes Im a sick little guppy :P , and its especially sexy for me to watch a man drive really really fast while in total control of his vehicle ...ok ok Im REALLY SICK...overshared-- HAAHHAHA .

seriously? most of its due to timing. Im at a time when things have become more stable, heart has settled down , Im done with denying myself the simple pleasures in life, ( and its getting really annoying to see youngsters who just started work zip around in their pa pa's cars, or listening to friends in envy as they share their new beamer purchases...while i took the public transport or taxis to work everyday...hmmmm also recently Lord Buddha sent a little tweeting birdy to me, he's just kept on tweeting passionately about his wheels, you just cant help getting affected by the itch for speed... )I guess I will never totally abandon the little woman in me that secretly desires her man to drive her around at all times, but It's time to grow up and step up to the role that was there for me all along

I think, with this new car purchase , I am finally living the lyrics of Destiny's child's hit song - "Independant Woman" .

Delightfully Distracted

Hi dee ho happie gupsters!

Ive been quite delightfully occupied this past week , bosses are all in town for our annual big event, Im working on my "mid-life crisis" self fulfillment project ( which i wil tell you all about in my next blog entry, its almost completed! stay tuned!! ) plus catching up with old friends and council sisters...yes its been quite a very busy period.

Unfortunately council sista WT had a major event on this week and couldnt make it :( ... the council gathering was incomplete...

It was so great to catch up with everyone again , We have certainly gotten a lil older , much has changed in our lives individually, but yet much has also remained the same. Yep. it was especially great to see Enjay and meet our little princess for the first time.

Cant wait till lil "Michelin" grows up!

Hope we can gather again before Enjay leaves for the US yet again..

One is a very lonely number

Yes i asked for it.

I woke up early, put on my make up, added extra blusher, wore bulgari jasmine just so i can tag along to the airport.

As i waved goodbye at the departure gate, i couldnt believe it when i felt a tiny little pinch, my heart wrenched... as i watched him shuffle through immigration , turn around , smile and waved at me .

I swear i almost teared. but that wouldve been so silly and embarassing. So I smiled a big bright smile, and stuck out my tongue at him as i waved him goodbye too.

soon as i lost sight of him..i lost sight of any motivation to do much this entire day...

his last sms to me from the gates: " The plane is a pissy leetle plane. Never seen so small"

I really suck at this, i thought a little retail therapy would make me feel better..but it didnt. sigh..I cant believe im so lousy at this...

Golden Ricebowl

I had the most amusing encounters of the "Fengshui" kind all week at work today .

Earlier this week, the sales bossess installed a spanking big , humongous, gargantuous STONE SPHERE WATER FOUNTAIN , smack in the centre of the sales teams work area - yes it did mean that the poor sales manager who was sitting by the entry way had to sacrifice her work space to make way for the spanking big fountain *mind boggling*

This was apparently done to improve our fengshui and bring in more WEALTH for the company ..hmmm

Just this afternoon, i came back from my raunchy lunchie to excited babblings from the ladies - one of them had bought a GOLDEN RICE BOWL complete with GOLDEN CHOPSTICKS and GOLDEN SPOON.

Apparently, if you placed this GOLDEN RICE BOWL set in your wealth position at home, you will...ermmm become obscenely wealthy?!??!?!!?

Gimme that Golden Rice Bowl !!

It's late, and yes i cant believe it im blogging at my desk at work...ok i will leave now..its Friday ..time to head out for some relaxing drinks and good old fashioned attention and sayangs from the handsome and young male species

A comfortable time filler

Which is greater ? Is it curiousity, boredom, ego or idleness that makes one seek out a comfortable time filler?

What is it? Is it curiousity ? ego? boredom ? or just plain idleness that makes one comfortable in this role?

Which is riskier ? Being open with the people around you, opening up one's thoughts, home , family and friends to another ?

Or is riskier ? to keep one's thoughts, real life, home, family and friends seperate , to maintain a controlled image while defending a level of privacy ? Would that exclude people from around your "Safe" life or would it include more people in it ?

But i believe very strongly that all human interaction is based on an intricate balancing act. Those that i care to spend my precious time on , I do not take lightly. Those that take me lightly, well i just simply cannot spend more precious time on.

Time Fillers are :

• Portable Gaming Units like nintendo DS, PSP, Gameboy watever
• Movies, Books, Newspapers
• The Internet

What are absolutely not suitable as time fillers are :

• Happie little guppies.
