Spendy Guppy Strikes Again!

Guppies love tech toys and gizmos!

http://sg.samsungmobile.com/webfiles/sin/phone/phone_view/Samsung%20Omnia/phonedemo/index.html

Soon as Yarrl told me about Samsung's cool new Omnia product launch at CommunicAsia, I couldnt help myself , i made a quick dash out to the phone shops and soon as I set my eyes on this little beauty, I had to get my greedy lil fins on a unit of me own.

It was a wee bit pricey ( I dont buy phones on a price plan, coz I already got a plan dammit) I had to buy it at retail price - I eventually found an agent that sold me this baby at $1030! woohoo!

In less than 2 shakes of a lamb's tail, I was home, i ripped this baby out of its packaging and trembled in orgasmic delight

new toy beside my trusty htc touch
sms exchanges are displayed like msn chat conversations - and tracked by sender/reciever! coolness!

with a 5 mega pixel camera...i dont have to carry another camera around with me anymore!

Im totally stoked by my new toy! *gleeeeeeeeeeee!* it also comes packed with GPS capabilities... will this help me when i get lost on the roads again? whahahhaha stay tuned true believers!

Sexiest thing about the Omnia -
Automatic Motion Sensors - i shift the phone on its side, the screen automatically shifts to a landscape mode. I hold the phone up vertically? the screen automatically displays in portrait mode. coool redefined!

The stupid-est thing about the Omnia
- after all that techno power and coolness was packed into one cool stylish body, i just could not comprehend why the hell the folks at samsung couldnt design the stylus to be part of the unit - like the htc..why couldnt u slot the stylus in the unit somewhere? nope, the dumbest design flaw in this baby is the designers at samsung had the stylus as an external part... hanging off like a "phone strap" by the side of the unit. dumb, ugly, and for the life of me i couldnt understand why ...WHY!?!?!??!

Luckily for me, im not a fan of the stylus, this baby works with chubby finger taps too..thank goodness.

Whoever said money can't buy you happiness...Obviously didnt buy themselves a cool Samsung Omnia :D wahahahahah!

I love my new toy! I love loving myself by buying myself something nice! Even if it makes a big dent in my lil wallet, *gulp*

Googled it. Saw it. Wish I hadnt Seen it.

Curiosity got the better of me tonight.

A long period of scattered idle banter had in recent months morphed from something impersonal and out of sight into something that has made quite an impression.

Now whether that influence / impact was for the better or worse, i guess its still too soon to tell. But its definitely a big one.

Despite myself (and you can label me a psycho sick guppy ) I really wanted to know just that little bit more. I am aware, that alot more has already been shared with me than most others , and perhaps more wouldve been shared with me in due time when one is more ready. But I just couldnt help myself.

Each time when a question was asked. I shared and answered freely. But when the tables are turned and i had a question for you , you coudn't offer me the same level of candid replies.

I had somehow resolved - that you might never share with me what i asked to know. you might never show me what I asked to see. And for the past few months, all of this didnt really matter to me.

It was OK.

But tonight, on a whim, curiousity got the better of me. It wasnt planned, I didnt strategise this. In fact , I wasnt even sure if anything would come out of it but i did it. I Googled what i was so curious to see, what i was so curious to know. and when I finally saw it. I wish i hadnt .

Damn! its amazing what you can find on google! :P

I will never tell you what i did and saw tonight . But I am truly deeply sorry.

Adventures on the MV Seaborne

20-22 June 2008

I went to an LOB scuba adventure on the MV Seaborne over the weekend for the first time with the gang from Deep Blue Scuba

The Company was fantastic , the food was good , the vessel was as expected, met alot of cool new people ..it wouldve been a perfect trip except i had trouble equalising on descent on the first dive, and on the 2nd night, we weathered a storm out at sea and I spent the whole night puking away seasick from all the violent rocking I also accidentally hurt my hand while trying to make my way to puke in the loo - all that rocking made me accidentally slam a door shut on my fingers..OUCH! by the last day i was too tired, exhausted from the puking and in too much pain to carry on diving ..so i sat out the last 2 dives.
All in all, it was still a fun adventure., i was too darn lazy to fix up my dive cam this trip, and on the 2nd day i was too seasick to bother...

dive gear, camera housing, clothes and staffy all packed and ready to go!
arrived at the Republic of Singapore Yatch club just 15 mins before 7pm
Spotted the MV Seaborne at last! - my home for the next 2 days !
not bad aye?
Spotted the Dive Propulsion Vehicle! woooooo! looks like these guys are into serious fun!

yes this is the first trip im on where we are invited to rig up our gear..BEFORE ..the boat has even sailed out of the harbour...victor - clearly excited about his dive - met victor on pulau tinggi a year ago too hehhehe nothing has changed except he's now a dive masterBAD BAD BAD photography skills by Desmond.. me and Lisa my dive buddy! Desmond and Lisa - i met Desmond at Pulau Tinggi almost a year ago... at that time i lost the group and followed what i thought looked like a dive master's ass...ahahahha he had the "style " of a DM, yup that was Desmond's ass alright...he wasnt a DM then but he sure is a DM now..HEH do i know talent when i see one or what!?everybody's wetsuit hung out and ready Guppy's scuba gear! rigged up and ready! check out the "lounge area"
the corridors between our cabins...this is where i injured myself on the 2nd night out at sea when we were caught in the middle of the sea in a thunderstorm at night,...sigh jammed my fingers between the doors to the loo as i made my way from my cabin to the loo to puke from all the violent rocking...sigh my airconditioned cabin. and my happie little bunk bed...

We finally settled into bed at around 10pm.. and when i woke up the next morning...we were already in Tioman!

ah check out the million dollar breakfast views! beautiful blue skies....beautiful wide expanse of the sea! SHIOK!!! This was our first dive site - Bahara Rocks.. doesnt look like much from above...its wats below thats beautiful,,,

The dive plan...
Unfortunately i wasnt able to equalise , (pop my ears) for the first dive and had to abort the first dive...i was so upset. I surfaced while everyone else continued...sad

when everyone surfaced we wasted no time to enjoy the delicious yummy breakfast that was prepared for us by the crew on board the MV Seaborne! check out our..substantial breakkie spread!
fried kway teow...fried sausages...eggs sunny side upplus tuna spread to eat with yummy gardenia bread! we love brekkie!
surface interval time is fun! .. YP giving us one of his many dive briefings at the Chebey dive site!we arrived at the 2nd dive site Chebay! and guess who else was there? Black Manta and White manta! wooot!
white manta chugs by

then came along blackie! wooot!
yup the waters are crowded today... we wasted no time and plunged into the depths of our 2nd dive site - Chebeyin the meantime...Lunch was being prepared! When we surfaced, this was the jaw dropping lunch spread that greeted the 17 hungry divers!AFTER our amazing lunch session, we headed out to the third dive site TIGER REEF! WOOOT guppy had alot of fun there...saw turtle...stingray, eel, barracudas, batfish, nemos...lotsa nemos..tiny teeny baby NEMOS!!! adorable!

the last dive of the day was at Ringgis - PARADISE easy easy dive ..reef on left! hahahaha this dive site was where i last got my underwater navigation dive to score an advanced certification..it felt good to be back again...but visibility was just so so.

after Ringgis it was dinner time...where we were served STEAMBOAT! Check out the spread ! fish balls, crab sticks, meat balls, chicken. quails eggs..crab balls , squid balls, veggies..the list goes on and on...

YUM! ...i couldnt stop eating n eating... after dinner we dropped off at TIOMAN ISLAND - to eat the infamous ROTI BOMB - a sinful sweet prata infused with condensed milk and honey...blyyeah...ofcourse we had no idea that this very night would be stormy out at sea...and we paid the price for our gross pigging out session all day...sick sick sick

After the storm the next morning...
check out my injured finger..boooo ...the whole night of puking meant i was in no shape to scuba all of sunday morning...i gave up and just slept the day away...when i woke up... I was greeted by the familiar sights of giant oil rigs and tall sky scrapers..
Im home. :D

will gather more pics from the others and post them here to share with everyone :) check back here again soon! Congratulations to our newly graduated PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVERS! woooot!
Despite my bout of seasick on the last night, and the injuries...it was nevertheless still an excellent dive trip..cant wait to do it again..eat. sleep. dive. I love livaboards!
