Needed Ocean Therapy Badly

But was too lazy to do any land trips, So booked myself on the next trip out on MV Blackmanta. hehhehe . I almost didnt make it on the boat in time, yup you guessed it, This little guppy is so bad with directions she got lost on the way from home to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal . ended up at Loyang Central instead and worse, got caught at the 530pm peak hour jam ,

Desperate, i dialed Moo for some directions, and lucky for me she managed to direct me out of the jam and led me on to the ECP in time to reach Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal , clear customs and boardMV Black Manta on time :D ..*phew*

I think i'll leave it to my pics to tell the story. I dont have lotsa pics as i was either too sick or too lazy to take them. plus underwater shots, as mentioned above, turned out crappy -- i need to get the hang of my new camera :(

home sweet home ..boaridng the MV Black Manta we were assigned spots on the Manta to set up our gear and tanksGuppy's gear all set up ..ready to rock and roll! muahahha! Welcome speech by Chris White , DM and lead of the trip in the luxe airconditioned saloon which was equipped with coffemaker, flatscreen tv , vcds etc etc My nice bedroom , airconditioned. I shared this room with an older male diver, he was nice. he didnt complain about me snoring hee hee Staffy came along too and he approves of the luxe accomodation! much much much better than white manta :P This is how a typical dive briefing lookslike, they tell us about the site, max depth, max dive time, what to look out for, entry plan, exit plan, who's yer buddy etc etc . All dive briefings are conducted on the meals deck where we eat as well Typically dive sites are near small portruding rocks or tiny islands in the middle of nowhere. Divers all geared up and ready to take the plunge. Entry was in waves, and by groups!Check out my red fins, and boardshorts , i think if i got red gloves, red mask , red rashguard.,..i will truly morph into a tomato red diver! * plots* stay tuned true believers! now u know wat to get for me for my birthday! i want red dive gear! help me achieve my red tomato diver dream! Into the blue woohoo!here we go here we go here we go!eh guppy you're just too slow , by the time u get ready the camera, all fishies swim away already la! -- check out his strobes. i only have a little point and shoot cam woe is me

took me some time to focus. set the color, then take the shot...looky wat happens YUP NO FISH -- fish swam away already la. or surroundings is clear but fish is blur.....but i have a nice clear , nice coloured shot of...coral branches :P sigh

eventually i gave up and just took sea scapes. it was nice diving in indonesian waters..swimming througgh curtains and curtains of lil fishies i think they are bright blue and yellow damsel fish

so cute right? blue starfish stuck on coral.. looks like a post card this one. Juvenile Batfish!OK these guys i managed to catch, they will dart in and out of the coral..in a cordinated fashion. as a group! very cute! WHAT FISH ARE THEY? can someone help me identify them? dot? sunshine? close up of cutie fish ..curtains and curtains of fish, over wide areas of healthy corals! its like taking a stroll in the garden! This really made me nose bleed. I wanted to do my favourite nemo shots! ready aim shoot! nemo went into hiding...damn! i have over 35 shots that look something like this. when i put away the camera...nemo comes out to play again! aargh!Brian was doing his Open Water Dive...So this is him doing the buddy share air drill. chris white was the instructor. coolness havent seen one of these in a while Other than diving all that was left to do was eat...sleep ...and eat and sleep...hahahhaaActually there was more , richer, better food, especially on the night i suffered sea sickness. the boat was rocking so bad in the storm. i gave up and just went to bed ..missed out on all the yumminess... i heard half the boat went to bed without dinner.. awwww

The trip ended with a final briefing, farewell , and collection of tips for the crew who are mostly thais.

It was certainly a good trip .

I love diving :) where are we divin next? take me with you ?
