Kranji Farm Adventure Day!

Think I went crazy with my digital camera today

Once again moomoo was hit by another bolt of "INSPIRATION" -- in next to no time she rallied the troops and bundled us all into the moo mobile ( christened the "Kranji Express" for the day) and off we went on our happie little adventure into Singapore's tucked away rustic areas ( also known as "Bird No Lay Egg" Land)

The long drive to the edge of our tiny little island... to the Kranji Countryside area ..

Finally a recognisable road sign !
Tourist group shot outside the Hey's Dairies - A goat farm and a local producer of goat's milk { blyeaah..guppies dont like goats milk) our mission..to milk A goat!
Alas we arrived too late in the afternoon...and missed the milking time...no teats for us to squeeze :( boooooo
little goats are adorable - they are called "kids" - guppies prefer to call them "Goatlets"
look at the cute lil goatlets sitting around acting cute
"feed us!"
"Hungweeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Meeehh Meeeehh" We cuter than the goatlets ya ?
Nah guppies are the cutest!
no snatching...plenty for everyone! dont chew off my fingers! hurry take the shot moo! they gonna chew off my lil fingers!
"dont feed the whole bunch la..feed strand by strand..see you've all finished your hay,..ive still got a bunch! " ...cried ray.. "eh check out that goats balls man..so big" ...
Everyone stares at goat...then at Ray... "mehh meeeehh"
"no more hey? i chew your hand la! meeeh meeeh meeeeh" the famous hey's dairygoats milk taste testing time! there was a line of people queueing to buy in bulk..multiple bottles..this tour group settled on on bottle.. :P

moomoo : "errr...whoah check out the aftertaste"
mags :"eee i wanna try too "
mags and ray : " ok wat ...strong aftertaste ...ok wat ! "
Shopping time! NO PESTICIDES ...PINEAPPLE!?
"THEY ARE MINE ALL MINE! BWAHA HAH AHA!"
We moved on to the "Dragonfruit" farm next !wooo they aint cacti! they're edible dragonfruit trees!
guppy and auntie irene cam whoring with dragon fruit
mags :" we must sample the produce! ok i buy the jellies, anybody wanna try the dragon fruit juice? huh huh huh "
mags : "dont think we can find this in the supermarket! canned dragonfruit drinks!"
Guppies love sweet things :D

share share la!
After the fruit farm..we moved on to the famous organic vegetable farm - Bollywood Veggies!
Tourist group shot no. 2 outside bollywood veggies and the entrance to the much hyped about Poison Ivy Restaurant!check out the decor.. hmmm airconditioned...cool with nice oldies playing in the background
The food looked good...but i think we all unanimously agreed - we have had better! amazing what good publicity and public relations efforts can do to promote mediocre cooking?
local curries ..and not so fluffy rice served cold..yes the food wasnt served warm...

at least the beer was cold :D happy happy little guppies
ok the best stuff at the poison IVY was the platter of sweet malay local dessert cakes. morty the fly joined us on our little raunchy lunchy ..after lunch, we continued on our farm expedition by exploring the bollywood veggies organic farm! with the help of this trusty farm guide!

so huge and ripe low hanging fruits just begging to be plucked!
what farm trip can be complete without some adequete hamming/ cam whoring in front of the camera?

I just had to buy the souveniors...man people at the singapore tourism board are clearly overpaid...is this the best they can come up with to promote a farm tour area as a "must visit" destination?
bought Titoy..,the mascot..didnt buy Morchoo...and sorely regretted it...somebody get me a Morchoo doll!!!! After the Poison Ivy and Bollywood veggies we moved on to Nyee Phoe Garden Asia place to check out the flowers, and pot plants

giant Morchoo and Titoy dolls on display but NO SALES PERSON! grrrrr if not i wouldve bought me a Morchoo doll ..sobss..
Guppies love flowers...
colourful... unique...differnt shapes and sizes..

elegant...clean...cute!

errr are we allowed to actually PICK/ pluck the flowers off the plants?! :P

lets do this again soon! wheeee!
