Great Guppy Aussie Adventure Day 6 to 10

And it continued to be Sunny but Cold down under for the next 5 days

I took so many random photos..its not funny..ive given up on loading them all in this blog hahah but while im still motivated to upload them, But i feel , for all travel stories, pictures do the most story telling, so here we go again Highlights of little guppy's perth adventures day 5-10 !.. in no particular order ...

  • Another warm and sunny day to drive around town with the windows all wound down ..enjoying natures air conditioner...ah bliss

I love the clouds on a sunny day in perth...all white and fluffy against a nice blue background..doesnt it look like the opening sequence to The Simpsons cartoon ? eating deep fried pork crackle with porkchop at the mall ...yummmmm

  • Fremantle Markets Porkchop, his mom and I made a trip down to the Fremantle markets to buy nice handmade artifacts, chocolates, sweets, and buy fresh produce... Yep the markets are just as touristy as before...nothing has changed after almost 10 years..

colourful kites for sale Porkchop bought me this rainbow trout! We love Porkchops!!Eventually we settled down to a light brunch at a cafe outside the markets...where the meal of the moment was PUMPKIN SOUP.Served with sunflower seed bread ...bot bad at all But the bowl was too big...and even though it was delicious..i could not finish the soup ...sigh...

  • Speeding down Kwinana Freeway...with the Swan river flanking our left...cool beans...i loved feeling the wind in my face...just like we used to do while we were in uni , me driving my suzuki sierra , porkchop driving his battered Ford Laser HAHAHA
  • Scampering about the Streets of Subiaco! Its uncanny these restaurants were around while we were in uni. thats more than a decade ago..and they still are around ..Oriels cafe..the 24 hour joint, ..we would sometimes hang out at this restaurant with our friends ...some of us after clubbing, some of us just popping by for coffee or supper... The Sicilian Cafe was a substitute whenever aOriels was experiencing Full HOuse...

  • The Witches Cauldron and those damn delicious garlic prawns! Witches Cauldron , in the heart of subiaco , is the first "swanky" restaurant date place porkchop brought me to ...it was fun sitting in the same restaurant eating the same garlic prawns...

Guppies love garlic prawnswe ordered the same dishes we had while we were there on our first "swanky dinner " date hahaha macadamia nut chicken fillets... roast lamb... garlic garlic garlic prawns! I love sticky date pudding!
  • More random street shots , Yes there was finally something new...they built a noisy bell tower.....in the middle of the cbd along the river...this bell tower oddly reminded me of this hotel in Dubai..hmmm
  • Other drive by highlights include the streets of st georges terrace, CBD area..i used to drive up and down this street while i was working here., got to get through this to get home from my office in west perth leederville,..
  • Macdonalds in Oz Serves - DAMN DELICIOUS ANGUS BEEF BURGERS...at 7 dollars a piece...yum!
  • Hillarys Boat Harbour Sorrento Quay We made a 2nd visit to Grans retirement village , and took her out to have tea at Sorrento QuayI love marinas...so many beautiful yatches. power boats...house boats.. I seriously think... It might be attainable... a house. along the river or ocean. a nice campervan, or four wheel drive and a nice little yatch or powerboat to go sailing in every weekend...damn! i keep failing those darn PPCDL license tests! aaaa!!!Its only an attainable dream to aspire to in the land down under i guess.. in singapore , this would buy me nada...marina fees will cripple me..and fuel will kill me off throughly..sigh... but one can dream ...Enjoying coffee, tea, cakes and chocolate with Aunty Mandy, Gran and Porkchop
  • Settled down to writing postcards to mail out to friends ...using the MontBlanc starwalker they bought me for my birthday wahahahahah it was cool because the card really did reach everyone before i got home ...
  • Addicted to Chicken Treat Roast Chicken Dinners...whahaha there were so many famous restaurants to revisit, fresh produce to try, different cafes to haunt but what did porkchop and i eat most of the time while we were there? CHICKEN TREAT ROAST CHICKEN DINNERS...i miss it already...damn that delicious yummy salty gravy

  • Fast Eddy's Dinner Another place we often hung out with guna, moo, tracie, and friends whenever we were having midnite hunger pangs..or over weekends...besides uncle vinces chilli mussels etc etc...it would have to be Fast Eddys..used to have one at Fremantle...but it shut down ,.we found this outlet at Westfield Carousel , near curtin University

PANCAKES AND 24 HOUR GLUTTONS BREAKFAST....YUMMMMMM

  • Cute Black Swans and their babies On the 2nd last day of our visit, Porkchop and I went back to the millpoint area to feed the swans and ducks one last time,...and we were pleasantly surprised to find a Swan family with their brood of 4 Cygnets!

Black swans...NOT DUCKS ok!?They really do walk in a row like ducks hahahaha

Awwwww ...really i think the thing i will miss most is Perths abundant wildlife...

Sigh. Goodbye Perth City...Gosh 10 years on...I am OLD. eeeeks!

On the eve of the 31st of August , we boarded the 930pm flight and endured another boring 6 hours before we finally landed in Singapore at 230am in the morning on Monday 1 September. .

Not sure when I will see perth again. Back to reality once again...

OMG. Nostalgia overdose!

So are Chicken Treat chips still the bestest chips ever?

20 bucks for a gluttons special at Fast Eddies. yipes!

heh, Oriels still the same as ever I see. Back in '93 we practically lived at that place and Fast Eds. lol

Especially miss Gino's in Freo. Was last there in '06 and it was still the same, save that the coffee was twice as pricey. (Probably need to take out a second mortgage for a cup of it by now).
